VICTORIA

John Madigan is the DLP's Senate Choice

FOR  ALL  AUSTRALIANS                                                            FOR  ALL  VICTORIANS

The DLP’s first Senate choice, John Madigan is passionately committed to protecting small business and manufacturing in the Western district of Victoria.  He believes that protecting small manufacturing and business in the country is worth a small cost to prevent terrible economic and social impact by allowing these businesses to collapse in order to import cheap Asian products.

“I believe that families, farmers, small business and community are vital to our nation’s social and economic prosperity.  I am standing for the Senate as a DLP candidate to advance the interests of families, life and workers.  The Australian people are looking for an alternative party to support at the forthcoming federal elections.  I hope to convince them that they should support the DLP.”

John Madigan was born and raised in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.  John completed his apprenticeship at the Victorian Railways Newport workshops and then worked in the mobile welding unit and civil construction department for 10 years.

John is now self employed as a blacksmith and has his engineering workshop in Hepburn Springs in the Victorian Central Highlands. John has been married for 17 years; he has two children and  lives in Ballarat.

John is the Victorian State President and Federal First Vice President of the Democratic Labor Party (DLP).
