DLP REJECTS GREENS’ CARBON LEVY

29 April 2010

“The Brown-Green carbon levy will destroy jobs" – DLP Senate Team Leader Tony Zegenhagen

Queensland’s DLP Senate team leader Tony Zegenhagen has emphatically rejected the (29 April 2010) call by Greens Leader Senator Bob Brown for a Carbon Levy.

“I am proud of the DLP’s contribution to the defeat of the ETS, alongside other worthy organisations including the Carbon Sense Coalition and the Climate Sceptics,” said Tony Zegenhagen. “The Brown-Green carbon levy will destroy jobs and condemn Australia to rapid economic decline.”

“Queenslanders are especially threatened by any proposal for a carbon tax. And Queenslanders have a high and growing level of awareness that the Greens are dangerous exponents of the false religion otherwise known as the global warming scam.”

“The people most at risk from the Greens’ proposal are those least able to defend themselves, Australians who lack education, assets and employment experience. Their hopes and dreams should be encouraged, not crushed by a carbon tax.”

“Australians who prefer to vote for a minority party now have a real choice,” said Mr Zegenhagen. “I predict a strong swing away from the anti-family, anti-jobs, anti-prosperity Greens in favour of the DLP, which stands for family life, well-paid jobs for all who seek employment, and prosperity for all Australians.”

CHALLENGE TO BOB BROWN

I challenge Senator Bob Brown to debate his carbon tax proposal, anywhere, any time,” said Tony Zegenhagen.
