Coalition of Community Groups

For many years the Democratic rights of Australians have been eroded by governments, State and Federal, ignoring one community after another, silencing their voices, paying ministerial lip service to their concerns and cares and turning their backs on those they are sworn to represent.

Since 1955 the Democratic Labor Party has stood to defend life, the family, the Australian community and the national interest; and to promote a decentralised society.

As such the DLP offers itself as an 'umbrella' political party to all these disparate groups. Whatever your issue, the North South pipeline, the GAIC, Wind farms, Fluoridation of our water supply, Geo Thermal power stations, and numerous others, the DLP stands as the voice of these silenced communities.

Since its formation the DLP has stood in defence of Democratic rights and principles. For 55 years we have been a voice for the oppressed and the silenced. Now in our sixth decade in Australian politics the DLP has sought to have all members of the Australian community represented fairly and honestly by those chosen to represent all communities.

The following links will take you to sites related to many of the issues currently facing communities across this country. Many are similar while just as many seem light years apart. But every one of them have something in common. They have all been abandoned by the Federal or State governments and left to fight the people who were elec ted to serve their interests and those of their communities. Left to fight, on their own. Until now.

The DLP is inviting all such groups to unite in the Coalition of Community Groups (CCG) to combine their strength and assist in each others struggles. Whether you are for or against the Wind farms, pro or con the Geo thermal power stations of Gherang, in favour or in opposition to the Growth Areas Infrastructure Contribution, you can all unite to defend each others Democratic right to be heard, to be listened to and to be represented fairly and openly.

The CCG is formed to ensure the communities of Australia do not become the Silenced Majority.

All interested parties should contact either the Federal Secretary or your State Secretary with details of their group and the campaign it is running. The DLP will at no time hold any of these groups out to be affiliated with the DLP or supportive of its policies. Our interests are in fighting and overcoming the loss of Democratic rights across our nation before Democracy itself is lost.

National Disability Insurance Scheme

Australia's approach to disability services is crisis-driven and welfare-based. A National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) would change this. The Scheme would provide funding for essential care, support, therapy, aids, equipment, home modifications and access to the community, education and training.

Fluoride Australia

This site was created for an open discussion on articles relevant to fluoride in Australia. It gives 'the people' an opportunity to have their voices heard.

 Gherang Geothermal

Another community betrayed by the government. Geothermal powerstations are being constructed against the will of the community and on top of their very homes.

Kids first Australia

A communications network of people working to better the lives of children and their families.

Plug the Pipe

The objective of this group is to protect the rural economies and environment of country communities by stopping the North South pipeline from taking water from the environmentally stressed Goulburn and Murray rivers.

GAIC Proposal - Taxed Out

A community-based, incorporated group whose aim is to inform affected landowners and the general public about the issues surrounding the GAIC proposal and fight for a fairer outcome.

Life Issues

The DLP has long been known for its Pro life stance. As such we support all those groups who campaign so desperately for the sanctity of all human life from conception to the moment of natural death.

This link will take you to a list of Pro Life organisations whose Pro-Life stance is supported by the DLP
