DLP changes its name: ‘Labor’ to ‘Labour’

The Australian Electoral Commission has approved the DLP’s application to make an alteration to the spelling of its name.

The Party’s name has been changed from

‘Democratic Labor Party (DLP) of Australia’

to

‘Democratic Labour Party (DLP)’

This change reflects the correct Australian spelling of the word ‘labour’ and further differentiates between the Democratic Labour and the Australian Labor parties.

The DLP has launched a slogan to go with the name, “Putting you back into Labour”

There will be a public launch on 23 July at Federation Square in Melbourne, check the event for further details!
